After cleaning the Miocene Reef “Tašmajdan” from the remaining vegetation and dry trees, which endangered the reef as well as the safety of the visitors of Tašmajdan park and Tašmajdan Sport and Recreation Center, we found a municipal waste landfill.
During yesterday, we hired a private company that collected garbage (glass; plastic; plastic packaging; etc.) and removed it to the landfill in Vinča. The amount of municipal waste that was taken away is about 8 m3. After detailed cleaning of the area mentioned above, we made aluminum boards with inscriptions that throwing garbage as well as jumping over the fence is strictly forbidden.
The Center for Preservation and Protection of the Environment once again appeals to the importance and significance of a healthy environment, and in the coming period the Center will do everything in its power to raise awareness of the importance of proper disposal of municipal waste.
