The Center for Preservation and Protection of the Environment is a non-governmental and non-profit association, founded for an indefinite period of time in order to achieve goals in the field of protection, preservation and improvement of the environment and to raise level of environmental awareness.

The founders of this association are graduate forestry engineers. Since we have been dealing with environmental issues in our professions for many years, we decided to establish an association to transfer our knowledge and experience through the Center which will work actively in the field of environmental protection. Since its establishment, the main activity of the Center is the education of the local population in the field of environmental protection, as well as cooperation with economic entities on the promotion and sustainability of environmental business.

To our satisfaction, the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Belgrade gave great support to the development of the Center. Thanks to our partners, we managed to publish the publication “Protected Natural Heritage of the City of Belgrade”, which we are especially proud of. Working on this project, we realized how much natural wealth the City of Belgrade has, but also how much effort and work is needed to preserve and improve it. Due to the great interest, the publication was translated into English and German.

Recognizing us as a partner, by the Decision of the Assembly of the City of Belgrade, and with the previously obtained consent of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Serbia, the City od Belgrade declared the Miocene Reef Tašmajdan natural monument and made a decision to hand it over to the Center for Preservation and Protection of the Environment on ten-year period.
