The Center for Environmental Preservation and Protection is a non-governmental and non-profit association, established for an indefinite period of time to achieve goals in the field of environmental protection, preservation, and improvement, as well as raising the level of ecological awareness.

The founders of this association are graduated forestry engineers. Given that we have been dealing with environmental protection issues for many years in our professional careers, we decided to transfer and apply our knowledge and experience within a center that will actively work in the field of environmental protection. Since its founding, the primary activity of the Center has been the education of the local population in the field of environmental protection, as well as cooperation with business entities to promote and ensure the sustainability of ecological business practices.

To our great satisfaction, many state institutions have recognized us as a partner, and we can proudly say that we received immense support in our very development from the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Belgrade. Thanks to our partners, we managed to publish the publication “Protected Natural Assets of the City of Belgrade”, of which we are particularly proud. Working on this project, we realized how much natural wealth the City of Belgrade possesses, but also how much effort and work is required to preserve and enhance that wealth. Due to great interest, the publication was translated into English and German.

Recognizing us as a partner, the City of Belgrade, by decision of the Belgrade City Assembly and with the prior consent of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia, issued a decree declaring the Tašmajdan Miocene Reef a natural monument, assigning its ten-year management to the Center for Environmental Preservation and Protection.
